DO'S AND DON'TS WHEN PAINTING CONCRETE



DO make sure to choose a product specifically formulated for use on concrete.


DO prime concrete before painting.


DO a moisture test before applying primer or paint.


DO clean your concrete surface from dust, oil and dirt.


DO leave your concrete to completely dry after cleaning before applying primer and paint.


DO wear protective eyewear.


DO know what is required to clean your brushes and rollers before starting your painting project.


DON'T use indoor concrete paint for outdoor surfaces.


DON'T paint on an unprepared surface - flaking, peeling paint needs to be removed.


DON'T applying a new coat of paint to glossy surfaces without scraping them back first, otherwise, your new paint won't stick.
